The ordination of Joao and his induction as full time minister at Chiddingfold Baptist Church was held on Saturday 9th July at the village hall with around 150 attendees; it was a lovely service filled with joy and even tears as messages from his home town in Brazil were shared in way of video.
The service was led by Revd Peter Jackson, the act of ordination and induction was led by Revd Stuart Davison, SEBA regional minister, the sermon brough to us by the representative of Spurgeon's College, Revd Seidel Abel Boanerges and the worship was led by Peter Barringer.
We give thanks to God for this moment and to all who helped in various ways including the AV team, Terry McMahon and Graham Bennewith, the catering team led by Rosemary Harris and those who shared the day with us with a special mention to the Mayor and Mayoress of Waverley.
