I am a stay-at-home mum, assistant to the church minister, toddler group leader, bookings administrator, media manager and deacon at the church with a focus on children’s and family ministry.
I like cooking, spending time with friends and family, walking, singing and a good coffee! I dislike olives.
I am married to Joao (m.2009) and have 4 children, James (b.2011), Rebecca (b.2013), Matthew (b.2021) and Emily (b.2023)
It’s very hard to choose a favourite hymn because there are so many old and new which really touch my soul but for an older one I love Amazing Grace; The story behind it is so powerful, how God can work in someone to turn their lives around. My favourite contemporary song is “I Need You” by Matt Maher; There are so many times in life things can feel overwhelming and yet we can find rest as we come to God and peace as we call out to Him.
“I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” – Revelation 21:3-4 (NLT).
I was raised in The Salvation Army and became both a Junior Soldier and Senior Soldier. When the Salvation Army I attended closed down I started worshipping at a local Baptist Church with my fiancée. After worshiping at Godalming BC for a while I felt the call to be baptised and become a member.
I was baptised Easter 2011. In many ways I felt there was something missing in my relationship with God and it was at a church weekend away around Easter time 2017 that I drew closer to God and was baptised in the Spirit which led to the gifting of spiritual tongues. Since then, I have had many ups and downs in my faith journey but God is always there with me and never gives up on me. I recently studied theology and am doing my best to serve the Lord faithfully.
